Rahel Burchardt

Rahel is a junior University Scholar from Boston, MA concentrating in Biochemistry, Entrepreneurship & Corporate Innovation, and Great Texts, with a secondary major in German. After Baylor, she plans to attend medical school. On campus, Rahel is involved in Baylor Undergraduate Research in Science and Technology (BURST), Club Tennis, Mission Waco, German Club, Zeta Tau Alpha, and also conducts student research.
Rahel’s favorite reading list book was Utopia by Thomas Moore. She’s worked with faculty mentors Dr. Jennifer Good (German), Dr. Daniel Romo (Chemistry & Biochemistry), Dr. Andrew Wisely (German), and Dr. James Kee (Entrepreneurship & Corporate Innovation). Rahel would love to meet and chat with any UNSC student and can answer questions about living in the HRC, on campus involvement, pre-health oppurtunities, and the UNSC program.
To new students, she says: “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with outstanding students seeking a transdisciplinary liberal education and wishing to explore diverse disciplines. The major cultivates a broad base of knowledge and skills across the arts and sciences while it offers the breadth of Baylor University’s course offerings. I enjoy offering guidance to the freshman class and helping them navigate their first year while encouraging students to seek out their academic passions and vocations."
