About UNSC
Baylor's University Scholars B.A. Program is designed for outstanding students who seek a liberal education and wish to study two or more subjects, often in diverse disciplines. The major cultivates a broad base of knowledge and skills across the arts and sciences and may include professional studies. Students explore widely and experience the breadth of Baylor University’s course offerings. As their intellectual passion and vocation become apparent, students work with mentors in their disciplines of interest to craft an individualized course of study made up of two or more concentrations. Minimum coursework for a concentration is generally defined as 5-6 upper-level courses in a discipline or closely-aligned disciplines. The University Scholars Program is part of Baylor’s Honors College. All University Scholars are also members of the Honors Program and complete a thesis.
UNSC is one of the most selective undergraduate majors at Baylor. It represents approximately 2% of Baylor’s incoming class, and often includes National Merit Finalists.
