UNSC Next Steps

What's Next?

What comes after admission into University Scholars?

1. Confirm or Decline your Acceptance

In your GoBaylor account, confirm or decline your acceptance to University Scholas.  By confirming UNSC your major will be changed to University Scholars.

2. Advising

You will meet with a UNSC advisor during the month of June to plan your fall schedule. You will receive an invitation to schedule your appointment in May. Information about how to prepare for your appointment will be in the email, but you can look at these links for a bit more about UNSC requirements.

3. Apply for Honors College Line Camp and Orientation

After students have confirmed their acceptance to Baylor, they can sign up for Honors College Line Camp and Orientation.

  • Honors College Line Camp: This is designed specifically for incoming students who have been accepted to any of the four Honors College programs. New students who select to participate in this unique camp experience will be able to connect with other Honors College students as well as faculty and staff. The Honors College Line Camp is a wonderful way to find community and an outstanding way to learn more about the University as a whole.
  • Orientation: Orientation is a two-day program that is essential for all incoming and transfer students. It is an opportunity to explore academics, campus life, and begin developing important relationships with faculty, staff, and students. There are also opportunities to hear important information and have all of your questions answered.
4. Explore Honors Housing Opportunities (Optional)

Honors College students, and therefore University Scholars students, have the opportunity to live in the Honors Residential College (HRC). This unique residential college provides a living experience that fosters a tight knit community, discovery, and opportunities for personal growth.  If you have any questions, contact HRC@baylor.edu.

More information about important housing dates and housing options in the HRC.
