The Award
The Canterbury Institute’s Barry Scholarship will fully fund three years of doctoral studies for a DPhil in Medieval and Modern Languages (Spanish) at the University of Oxford. Katerina had previously been awarded a Fulbright ETA to Asturias.
At Baylor
Katerina earned her B.A. in University Scholars. She studied abroad in Madrid, and presented her research on Golden Age Spanish literature at a symposium in Madrid and URSA Scholars Week. She was a volunteer English teacher for Buckner International in the Dominican Republic and served as an international student mentor through Baylor’s PAWS program.
