At Baylor
Andrew earned his BA in University Scholars, concentrating in Medical Humanities and Anthropology with minors in Biology and Biochemistry.
He was a Hillis Scholar, a Carr P. Collins Scholar as well as a Louis Brandon Scholar while at Baylor. Additionally, he was involved in the Ampersand Society, Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society, Sigma Xi Research Society, Alpha Lambda Delta, Multicultural Association of Pre-Health Students, garden shift manager at Campus Kitchen, and mentored kids through Mission Waco.
Andrew spent his summers involved in the selective BTRUE Summer Research Fellows Program and published two co-first author papers while in the Lugo Neuroscience Lab at Baylor as well as participating in the Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium.
Additionally, he was selected as a national Weigel Medical School Scholar with an associated scholarship from the National Elk Foundation as well as being named a national Tylenol Future Care Scholar with an associated scholarship that he will apply to his medical study going forward.
